The High Resolution Camera (HRC) on the Chandra X-ray Observatory (CXO)
Welcome to the HRC home page. The HRC is a single photon counting
x-ray camera developed by the Smithsonian Astrophysical
Observatory (Cambridge, MA) for NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory (formerly the Advanced X-ray Astrophysics
Facility or AXAF). Chandra is an x-ray observatory
launched in 1999. The intent of this home page is to
be a source of detailed
information related to the HRC program.
